Objects of the Society

The objects of the society are to maintain intact the traditions of Gilbert and Sullivan Operas and enable members who are anxious to do so , to develop their knowledge of everything concerning the works and their authors.


The Gilbert and Sullivan News

The official magazine of the Society published by the parent Society in London, is forwarded free to all members of the Manchester Society.


Society Library and Archives

The Society library was donated to the Henry Watson Music Library in Manchester in 2007.

It is accessible to the public on site, but only members of this Society may borrow books or scores.

Annual Subscription to Manchester Society £15.00 Junior/Student Members (under the age of 18 or receiving full-time education) £7.50 Note: Subscriptions date from 8th April to 7th April. The subscription of a member joining between 1st January and 7th April will be half the full amount.
